Search/Match for Organizations

We have discovered that the search/match for search type Organization with delivered search parameter PSCS_ORG_TRADNL appears to have case-sensitive search criteria on the Description search field.  For example, in Demo, a Description search of 'Alta' finds the org while a search of 'alta' returns no results.  Is there a way to change this so the Description search field in not case sensitive?
