swap the 1gb for the 10gb ports on a 4600

Hi, I just want to make sure I have the process for this down correctly and to ask a couple of questions.  We have a provisioned 4600, currently using M00 and M10 for media.  We would like to utilize the 10Gb ports, instead.  Is it as simple as unplugging M00 & M10, changing the name and port/slot in the phy-interface, network-interface & realm?  The IP address can remain the same, etc?
