Relation btw RCV Transactions Interface & Inventory

Could anyone please give me some pointer on rcv transaction entries connected to inventory module & iSupplier Portal?

Our business enabled EXPENSE destination type only not INVENTORY destination type.

I have a record that's in ERROR in the receiving trx interface table. Found this MOS note 1354801.1 that says log an SR with inventory.
