Work Confirmation Approved in Period after Creation Error

Hello -

My client has a supplier submit a Work Confirmation for approval; however the approver does not approve it until the next period after transaction period has been closed and is causing an error. Has anyone else encountered this situation?

They are currently set to accrue expense receipts at time of receipt.
