Customizing Hyperion Financial Reporting URL with POV values

We are running Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio version 11.1.2.4.006.  I am trying to build a front-end with a different tool (not HFR) that will call reports in HFR.  I found the "Smartcut" for my report, and when I paste that URL into my browser it generates my report. 

However, I need to customize the POV values for the report being generated.  I found some information suggesting that you can add tags to the URL - like "attribute=Month.id.Jan" so the report generates for the month of January.  When I add those values to my URL, it doesn't change the POV of the report; it continues to generate with the same POV values as before.
