How to use todays transaction date in sales update for time zone issue

Hi,

I have server in different time zone and want to solve issues for getting next date in the sale update to be in sync with shipment date.  If I want sales update to follow the same date as ship confirm date what would be the best way to achieve this. Is there any option in the sale update which follows ship confirm date even if sales update is running next day after shipment due to time zone issue.

Or is there any white paper on how to handle time zone issue for recording the transaction on the same date even if the server is in different time zone?
