Impact of putting backup of tables in same database but different schema

Hello Experts,

We want to purge some tables and want to take backups of these tables before purging.

Could you please tell me the impact on siebel application (advantage/disadvantage) of putting backup of tables in same database but different schema than SIEBEL schema.
