Adding a dimension to product hierarchy to an existing domain

Hi, We have a need to add a dimension to an existing AIP domain and to product hierarchy . The KM article below states that it involves exporting and loading data of all the measures involved and purging positions. Does that still hold true for RPAS 14.1.3 ? i thought there were enhancements and adding dimensions were patchable and removing dimensions were not supported in version 14.1.
