Adding new metadata in WCC 11.1.1.8 (previously upgraded from 11.1.1.5)

Hi Experts,

We updated our system from 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.8 two years ago and the application works fine so far.

However, we noticed that some fields length have changed from 50 char to 200 char but Idctext2 fields still have the old length for ddocauthor, ddoccreator, ddoclastmodifier, ddocowner columns Now, we would like to add some additional metadata without running a full collection rebuild (it would take many days, so unacceptable for us)

We added the new metadata fields then updated the Database schema. We did not run the Rebuild Search Index but ran a fast rebuild with the Repository Manager.

The fast rebuild succedded,  however, the 4 columns were dropped from Idctext2.
