GL Journal Entry Summarization flag in Subledger Accounting Options

If this flag is setup Group by Period - How the journals (headers) would exactly be summarized... - category/source/period? By which fields exactly?

Per upgrade, this flag is set GROUP BY PERIOD... I  would like to change to 'No Summarization' in order to populate the References columns and a detailed JE line description
