US Payroll: a 16-digit verification code on W2 ?

I recently received an update through IRS website regarding a "new" 16 digit W2 Verification Code that employers should be adding to employee W2's for 2016 to

prevent fraud.  I have not been able to find anything of My Oracle Support for the User End of Year Guide to define where or how this verification code should be

applied.  Have any of you found any information on this code?
