Supplier address list of values for US States - how to update an existing?

We are currently experiencing an issue where the LOV for US states on the supplier address screen lists 'Oklahoma' as the geography_name instead of OK.  We have tried updating this in Trading Community Manager with no luck.  Do we first have to remove the state code from all suppliers addresses with 'Oklahoma' and then make the update?

Is there a possibility that this is a freeform field and 'Oklahoma' was accidentally added by a user?  How can we check that?
