Restoring database on a higher version OEL

Can I do a direct backup of an Oracle 11g R2 (11.2.0.1) database from Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) 5.6 and directly restore it to an Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.7?

Database version is the same and all directory structures are also the same.
