Autopopulate value in APC

Hello

Based selection of certain value, I would like next value to auto-populate.

I've reviewed note : Unable To Create Dependent Value Sets For Variant Attribute Groups In PIM Using $ATTRIBUTEGROUP$ in the WHERE Clause ? (Doc ID 1929142.1)

Through this note, you have to explicitly make selection although number of values will be restricted to one. How does one push the value without having to make selection.
