Oracle E-Business Suite R12: Refresh Database and Application Tiers using RMAN Duplicate on DR

Can we just refresh DR database through RMAN duplicate option?

And since we are planing to update database (through RMAN duplicate) on daily basis, what are the changes/configuration need to be done at application tier?

We have database version 11.1.0.7
