Converting physical standby to READ /WRITE without using Snapshot Standby

Hello Everyone

We have 2 11g databases configured in a primary and physical standby

Primary database is prod and Physical standby is stdby

There is this requirement where we need to convert the current physical standby database into a READ / WRITE for good

We dont want this to impact the production database at all

So basically what we want is to convert the standby database into READ WRITE database WITHOUT impacting the primary database

For the sake of argument, we cannot use the SNAPSHOT STANDBY option.

We plan to use the standby database in a READ / WRITE environment for at least a few months and then down the road
