Retro Pay

Does anyone in the community have any suggestions on how to use the retro pay feature?  We will be putting increases (different increases for different employees) on a paycheck in March, but need to make them retroactive from January 01st.  Any assistance or suggestions in setting this up would be appreciated.  Thanks.
