Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-12154

Good morning,

The following errors are being displayed when performing menu enquiries on an AlphaServer 1200 D/R standby system

(running OpenVMS 7.3-2 and Oracle RDBMS 8.1.6.0.0).

“ SQLCODE     -12154

Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-12154”

insoracle start-up file is also logging the following error

The error ORAUSER_RENCS:  This database has no known instance on

node (KIITST).  As a result ORA_SID is *undefined*, and you

will have to use SQL*Net if you wish to connect to any database.

The standby system has only recently been built from image backup /restores from the parent production system, so currently
