Removing OLAP for 12c Upgrade

Oracle 11.2.0.4.0 Std.Ed.One, upgrading to 12.1.0.2.0 Std.Ed.TWO

After running the script ‘preupgrd.sql’ (from the 12c ORACLE_HOME) I examine the two generated scripts, ‘preupgrade_fixups.sql’ and  ‘preupgrade.log’.  It appears that the ‘fixups’ script doesn’t actually ‘fixup’ anything, but simply generates a more thorough report of what needs to be done manually.   Am I missing something here?

Also, when examining the output of ‘preupgrade_fixups.sql’, I see this section:

**********************************************************************

Check Tag: AMD_EXISTS

Check Summary: Check to see if AMD is present in the database

Fix Summary: Manually execute ORACLE_HOME/oraolap/admin/catnoamd.sql script to remove OLAP.
