EBS GL code combinations - how many are too many?

New implementation of EBS R12 GL with one ledger.  We are  planning to preload 3,000,000 code combinations.  Dynamic insertion will not be used. 
Is 3 million too many combinations?  Will it affect performance?  What is the max recommend number of CCIDs?
