UK PAY: Deductions from Earnings order - percentage

Our UK payroll team have received a new Deductions from Earnings order from the Child Maintenance Team.  The protected earnings have been provided as a percentage rather than a monetary amount.  This is the first order of this type they have received and they are unsure of how to enter the data to ensure that the specified protected percentage of earnings is correctly calculated when the payroll is processed.  Is there any documentation that shows how the data should be entered?  Thanks.
