Update Package Deployment Error

I am trying to deploy our year end 1099 update to our PY environment. The package built successfully but when I try to deploy it to our enterprise server , I get the generic 'Error: Record Invalid'.  Is there a way to dig in and find out what is going on?  Anyone have any other tips or tricks that would help me deploy this successfully?  We are running E1 9.1 on wintel
