Log Messages search does not find bipublisher.log records in Middleware Control 12c

Log Messages search does not find bipublisher.log records in Middleware Control 12c.

I am trying to display the Memory Guard error messages using Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control 12c.

I have run some reports which fail to complete.  They are stopped due to exceeding the Memory Guard limits.

If I list the bipublisher.log file from the OS command line I can see the logged messages, including in the message field eg.

  • oracle.xdo.servlet.ReportException: oracle.xdo.memoryguard.XDODataSizeLimitException: Report data size exceeds the maximum limit (8665834 bytes). Stopped processing.

For the Domain, if I use Middle ware Control and the Log Message search,  and search for the string memoryguard    I get (No messages match the search criteria.)
