When running Oracle E-Business Suite on Oracle Cloud, the application tier always runs on Oracle's Compute Cloud Service (IaaS). As with on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite environments, you are responsible for applying Oracle E-Business Suite application patches.  You may manage the environment with your corporate staff or optionally work with Oracle Managed Cloud Services or an Oracle partner to administer (patch, clone, upgrade, etc.) your EBS environment.

EBS Patching Utilities

Oracle E-Business Suite includes patching utilities that are used to patch the application code. The same utilities are employed in patching both on-premises EBS environments, and EBS environments running in Oracle Cloud.
