Best Practice for ASM use on small Standalone DB?

I currently use ASM storage for my RAC systems and any new DBs that are created.  Some legacy DBs are still using filesystem storage.  I have a new server that will contain 2 DBs (DEV and TEST). These DBs are standalone and will be very small.  Estimate is less than 10 GB of datafile space needed per DB.

In this case do I still create ASM diskgroup with multiple luns?  Or is there a better way to do this?
