Quote place order but skip flexfields?

Hi,

We use a lot of flexfields in OM but none in Quoting.

Recently we had to add 2 flexfields in Quoting but these flexfields are completely different and therefor do not match the flexfields in OM so now we get the known error APP-236112.

At the same time we don't want the info in the Quoting flexfields in OM.

Does anyone know if it is somehow possible to skip the flexfields in Quoting when you press 'place order' ?

Maybe a setup, personalizer, .... ?
