P43250 - Receipt Routes repeated entry

We receive goods that are bundled as a package, but must be separated into individual serial numbers upon arrival.  An advanced shipping notice is sent with the collected goods listed and the corresponding serial numbers.

During the Receipt process (using advanced shipping notice), a box is received.

When the box arrives, individual serial number are "Moved" through P43250 Receipt Routes and P42053 Multi-Location.

Is it to be expected that the system will cycle P42053 through the creation of  twelve lots?  We enter twelve lots in the P42053 and then click save twice.  We then need to cycle through each lot and click save again as well as correcting the location to which they have been saved.
