how do you recover a password on SBC?

Acme Packet Net-Net 4500 SCZ7.3.0 Patch 1 (Build 189)

the boot process hangs at this error:

Performing NPSOFT Initialization for the SD3

Phy Card Slot has a QUAD Gigabit Phy Card w/SFP Transceivers installed

[sched_delayed]  6CE: hpet increased min_delta_ns to 20113 nsec

media_startup: nPsoft_startup failed, err=0xffffffff

MD_ERROR: [media_startup] error initializing platform PPX

If we do get past it, none of the passwords work.
