R12.2 Upgrade path to exadata

I'm starting a EBS upgrade project and i'm wondering what's the best path to handle the upgrade and especially how to transfer the Database.

Source env:

DB: 11.2.0.1 on RHEL 5.3 (no ASM)

Apps: 11.5.10.2 on RHEL 5.3

Target:

DB: 11.2.0.4 or 12.1.0.1  on Exadata/ OL 6.x

Apps: 12.2.5 on Exalogic/ OL 6.x

My problem is optimizing/defining the best way to transfer the database to Exadata. Unfortunately the current DB version is not supported on 12.2 EBS version so i have either to upgrade it to 11.2.0.4 or 12c first. Then i will have to transfer it to Exadata.

I was wondering about a more "original" and straightforward path to do that by doing:
