Notification when customer is on credit hold

We have sales offices in a few geographic regions. Whenever a customer hits credit hold status, the sales personnel will only find out when they try to process the sales order. We would like to have the automated notification from JDE whenever a customer goes on hold due to C1 credit limit. Instead of replying on Collections Department to inform the sales team, can the system send some kind of notification? Appreciate your inputs.
