FIXED ASSET CLEARING ACCOUNT

Good day all,

I need more clarification on how fixed asset clearing account is cleared from the manual creation of an asset on the fixed asset workbench. I noticed this today that sometimes the balance reduces to Zero but today when i added an asset and run the trial balance, i am seeing huge figure on the fixed asset clearing account. How does it zeroises ? Thank you
