How can I configure 12.1.0.2 database options after db creation on X6-2HA?

I cannot run dbca and change database options on a newly created 12.1.0.2 database.  I am able to do this on an 11.2.0.4 database as described in MOS note 1512878.1.  All of the options are installed and greyed out to prevent removal.  I do not want spatial, olap or data vault but see now way around it.  Any ideas?
