Custom grid sequencing not retained on subform?

Is grid customization supported for subforms?

I have a Browse Subform, and when clicking the customize grid option, changing the sequencing for a grid column, once I click 'Save' the sequencing is removed.

Is it not possible for users to custom sequence subform grids?
