Managing the Java Version in the Oracle Home
My company is VERY security concious and is going to regularly review the database servers for security vulnerabilities. I have Oracle database 12.1.0.2 with OJVM. The java version installed in the oracle home is 1.6.0.75 which is VERY old. How is this managed and updated? If I apply the latest OJVM security patch each quarter, will that remediate the java security vulnerabilities equivalent to being on the latest version of java? Is there a way to update the java in the oracle home to the lastest version of java? I did not find any certification information on MOS.
Thanks,
Nancy
