Is it advisable to run "Oracle Installed Base Error Correction and Synchronization program" in R12?

We have lot of errors in interface table.

We tried to run this program in DEV instance and it corrected 5000 Records.

Is it safe to run this program in Correction and Synchronization mode in Production Environment?
