How to make the NewFileAttachment method work in Siebel Standard Interactivity?

Hi,

We have a siebel 8.1 standard interactivity application where we want to have the attachment functionality. How to ake it work? The button for NewFileAttachment is not active by default (without using precan invoke script/user property) and if we make it active using script/UP, it throws error when invoked.
