weblogic 12.1.3 and Dweblogic.Domain

In weblogic 10.3.6 in startup scripts following is used -Dweblogic.Domain=<domain_name> Could you please advise if the same argument could be used with weblogic 12.1.3 ? If it is added could it cause any problems ?
