How to preview files from a long field?

Hi,

We have an external database that has different types of files(PDFs, excel, doc, jpeg) stored in a long column. Is there a way to show the contents of the files embedded in another applet in a view?

I know Siebel works based on its own file system and attachments but we can;t convert the external binary data into files as they are in millions. We just want to query external table and display the content of binary data in Siebel.

We are trying to achieve this in FINS IP2015.
