Q: var dataset on Solaris 10 (GZ and NGZ)

Hello Experts,

we are having some questions regarding the var (and the creation of additional datasets) in the rpool on Solaris 10.

We were asked to implement sudo secondary logging on our Solaris 10 environment. Per default SUDO logs are stored under /var/log/sudo-io.  SUDO secondary logging can produce tons of files on systems where SUDO privs are heavily used. Therefore we intend to use quotas. On global Zones we could set quotas directly on the var dataset. On non-global Zones we do not have a var dataset (not supported). In that case we could just set quotas directly on Zoneroot (/).
