Can more than 4000 string add to clob column in oracle 12c?

Hello. my customers have some codes in string. They want to save these code strings on database. These length are 4000-5000 characters. Can we insert in clob column? How? Any idea?

we are used Oracle 12c RAC system and 12C RAC dataguard system. I see it looks hard to configure maxstringextendted variable on RAC dataguard system, So i ask that question.
