Need to make changes to layout of tasks under ativities.

I'm lookin for a way to add a phone number and email to a contact under an activity task.  I went to the page layout wizard under task and have found the correct area on the related info layout, but it will not allow me to make changes.  Is it possible to make this adjustment?
