UCM Slow Performance on Bulk Check-in using RIDC

We have cluster of UCM comprising of 4 nodes out of which 1 is passive. Currently I am bulk checking-in data using RIDC though there is no issue in checking-in of files but slow indexing process is creating bottleneck. I have set Currently Content indexer per batch is set as 25. will setting the same to 500 boost the indexing the process. One more scenario I have tested when file checked-in & its still not released and if we search the document from ucm front-end, It throws following error Unable to retrieve search results. Error occurred while processing. Unable to
