Capitalization of Cost adjustment

Hi team

We have a requirement to capitalize the asset cost adjustment which can be performed in further years of asset life

For example

Asset Cost  = 1000 USD

Life : 5 years

Method : STL

So depreciation is 1000/5  = 200 per year

At end of 2 years , accumulated deprn : 400

Now , if I do an adjustment of 500 to the asset , so cost at end of 2 years : 2500

Now , i have to capitalize this 500 for 5 years from year 3 onwards  rather remaining life .

How do we acheive this  ?
