multiple java versions

Hello

I have been searching a lot and am unable to make it work.

I have a solaris 10 server with java 6 installed on it and an application.

we have installed a backup client that needs java 7.

each time we run the client we get an error that we must upgrade the java to version 7.

how can i accomplish running the backup client without affecting the running application ?
