Uploading on-hand balances with EDI852 Vs Cycle count

Hi,

I am using JDE9.2. For uploading on-hand inventory balance is there a white paper which highlights which is the best practice for this activity. cycle count is long process but gives ability to approve on the other hand EDI852 is short process but has limitation of 999 records at once.

Please suggest what is the criteria of selecting best method.
