Budget Upload in GL Cloud - Significance of Run Name

Back ground

Cloud Financials R11.    GL Budget upload

Uploaded Budget Data for a single Budget from ADF spreadsheet.

Upload worked OK but we then wanted to amend some of the data - values and accounts.

Test 1 - Same Run name

It seems that if we use the same run name as the first upload then the new upload will OVERWRITE whatever was uploaded previously for that budget / Run name combination.

Test 2 - Different Run name

=======================

If we use a new run name (same budget) then the new budget data is ADDED to the original budget.

Questions

=====================

1.  Is this expected functionality as there does not seem to be anywhere that clearly states expectations.   Could someone confirm or provide a link to explain the exact functionality behind the run name?
