TreeGrid Fatal Error! for a single user

We have experienced the TreeGrid Fatal error for a single user multiple times and the only solution we have found is to rollback the corporate image of the workstation which our desktop team believes implies it is related to a Windows patch.  The solution provided in Doc ID 2180026.1 to upgrade to ver 16.x is not an option for us for a couple of months and I now have our executives experiences this TreeGrid Fatal error and the desktop teams solution of a reimage of and executive laptop is not an option.  Any other solution of help anyone could provide is greatly appreciated.
