Discrepancy in Consolidated GL and Business Units GL balances

Greetings all,

I was contacted by our accounting department with the following issue.  I have very limited knowledge of Fusion Apps and don't know if this is a user error or system error.

GL account 13005 shows a zero balance in the Swiss and UK business units as of 12.31.2016. On the consolidated ledger, however, there is an impact of $31,384.57 stemming from the UK and Swiss business units. I don't understand how we can have a zero balance in one ledger that negatively impacts the consolidated ledger.

Any input/feedback will be greatly appreciated.
