Hi

We are implementing a 12c Database on Suse Linux 12. This is going to be an OLTP standalone database. No RAC

The storage is local and consists of 6 1.2 TB SAS drives @10K PRM

IF we are not using ASM, what is oracle's recommendation in terms of file system (ext3/ext4/xfs) to be used with oracle for an OLTP database?

Is there a white paper or recommendation from Oracle on tuning the EXT4 or XFS file system for an OLTP database?

We have not totally ruled out using ASM but then it would mean having another layer of software (GRID) to install and manage and patch and then

Howdy, Stranger!
