Using MS Global Groups to Grant Hyperion access

edited Mar 3, 2017 4:00AM in Hyperion Planning (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Currently we have one Global group G-All-Hyperion-Users in our Microsoft domain.  Placing a user in this group allows them to login to Hyperion but that is it.

All other rights have to be granted within Hyperion, giving them access to applications etc.

We want to move to a 'Roles' Model of security.

Is there a way to add them to an AD Global Group  say "G-Hyperion-PlanningApp1"  Which would then grant that access to PlanningApp1 without further touching Hyperion security?

Not sure if this is possible, not able to find this outlined in a document or if it is possible.

Can you place "G-Hyperion-PlanningApp1" inside a Native group "Native-Hyperion-PlanningApp1" to accomplish this?

Howdy, Stranger!
